Bruno & Marrone is a Brazilian sertaneja duo formed by Vinicius Felix de Miranda (Bruno) and José Roberto Ferreira (Marrone). Bruno, born in 1969 in Goiânia, had been performing solo for ten years before teaming up with Marrone, born in 1964 in the same city. Their debut album, Bruno & Marrone, Vol. 1, was released in 1995, followed by Bruno & Marrone, Vol. 2 in 1996. The duo's romantic style and extensive touring gradually earned them a dedicated fan base in the sertaneja music scene.
Warner Continental released multiple albums by Bruno & Marrone annually from 1995 to 2006, as the duo's popularity grew from small venues to large arenas and stadiums. In 2006, they recorded a live album and DVD in Goiânia, marking their 14th CD and third concert DVD, which was released by Sony BMG.
