Active since the early '90s, Jamiroquai is a British band known for their blend of house rhythms and '70s-era soul/funk. Led by singer/songwriter Jason Kay (aka J.K.), the band has experienced chart success worldwide. Jamiroquai's debut single "When You Gonna Learn?" was released in late 1992 by Acid Jazz, leading to a recording contract with Sony. Their albums, including Emergency on Planet Earth (1993) and The Return of the Space Cowboy (1995), achieved commercial success in Europe and Japan.
In 2017, Jamiroquai released their eighth studio album, Automaton, exploring themes of technology and human interaction. Led by Kay and keyboardist Matt Johnson, the album continued the band's electro-funky sound. Throughout their career, Jamiroquai has maintained a steady presence in the music industry, marked by hits like "Virtual Insanity" and "Cloud 9."
