Johann Sebastian Bach, born in Eisenach in 1685, was a renowned composer and virtuoso organist. Orphaned at a young age, Bach was raised by his brother Johann Christoph in Ohrdruf. He began his musical career as an instrumentalist at the Michaelis monastery in L├╝neberg and later held positions as an organist in Arnstadt and M├╝hlhausen. Bach's tenure as court organist in Weimar and Kapellmeister in C├╢then saw the creation of numerous compositions, including the famous Brandenburg Concertos. In Leipzig, where he served as Kantor of the Thomas School, Bach composed a significant portion of his cantatas. His legacy endures through masterpieces like the Mass in B minor, created shortly before his death in 1750.
