Daiki Tsuneta, a graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts, began his creative endeavors under the name Srv.Vinci in 2015. Following lineup changes, the band transitioned to a four-member formation consisting of Daiki Tsuneta (Gt.Vo.), Yu Seki (Drs.Sampler), Kazuki Arai (Ba.), and Satoru Iguchi (Vo.Key.), ultimately rebranding as King Gnu on April 26, 2017.
King Gnu, known for their distinctive blend of music, visuals, and live performances, collaborated with the creative agency "PERIMETRON," garnering attention for their music videos and artworks. Their single "Hakujitsu" released in February 2019 achieved commercial success, while their album "CEREMONY" in 2020 solidified their position as a prominent rock band in Japan. Notable achievements include providing the OP/ED themes for the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and the OP theme for the TV anime Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident. The band's fourth album, "THE GREATEST UNKNOWN," was released on November 29, 2023, followed by successful tours across Japan and Asia in 2024.
