Dayvon Bennett, known professionally as King Von, hails from Chicago's South Side and was raised in the O Block neighborhood. After a troubled youth marked by involvement in crime and multiple incarcerations, Bennett transitioned to a career in music in 2018. His early singles, notably "Crazy Story," garnered significant attention, with the latter achieving platinum certification. In March of the following year, he released "Cousins" featuring JusBlow600 and later relocated to Atlanta to further his music career. His debut mixtape, Grandson, Vol. 1, was released in September and peaked at 75 on the Billboard 200. Subsequently, his second mixtape, Levon James, was released in March with collaborations with artists like YNW Melly and NLE Choppa, leading to a tour with G Herbo. King Von is currently preparing for the release of his debut album, "Welcome to O'Block," scheduled for fall 2020.
